My Story

I am a mother to a nearly 3 year old little girl & one thing I have always been conscious of is what she consumes, and what goes onto her skin. My daughter’s health means everything to me, so from when she was a few months old, I started giving her my very own homemade Elderberry and Echinacea Syrup to ensure her immune system is in it’s best shape.

I was also aware that most branded sunscreens can contain harmful chemicals, so I started making my own sunscreen, finding the right one that was gentle to sensitive skin. My sunscreen is organic, safe and contains no carcinogenic chemicals.

In 2020 when I was pregnant & trying to find a natural way to keep my iron levels up, I came across Sea Moss Gel. The more research I did on Sea Moss the more I began to realise it has a broad range of benefits & being someone who suffers from eczema it was a must to for me! Now nearly three years later I am obsessed with it and have come to love it! It has quickly become part of our family daily routine and over time I’ve discovered more ways to include it into our family meals and drinks, without it ever being detected as it’s odourless and tasteless once added. 

In April 2022 a friend noticed all the different things I was making for myself and my daughter and joked about me opening my own business, and that’s exactly what I did! I opened Mother Nature Knows Best & started selling my first product - Elderberry & Echinacea Syrup. It started locally and selling through word of mouth and social media. A month later, I then added my sunscreen that contains no nasties to the collection, which turned out to be an amazing success! Friends and customers knew I also made my own Sea Moss Gel, and I had a lot of requests to add this to my growing list of products. As my business grew, this then enabled me to be able to start selling this too. Now nearly a year later, my business has grown more than I had ever expected and it’s all thanks to the help, loyalty and trust from my customers.
